I think I might be too naive. This ruling really sucked the air out of my lungs. But, I think there’s a clue to how the Roberts court can justify this ruling in their evocation about the “nature” of power.

This is the #Trump playbook: Pick someone who validates Trump in the eyes of constituents who might have doubts. When more doubts arise, point to the person he picked as proof of Trump's loyalty to their cause. Deflect, attack. Wash, rinse, repeat.

I went to college in Tulsa in the early aughts. The massacre was something talked about in hushed tones. I've been pleasantly inspired by the wealth of cultural works about the tragedy. But, I can't say that I'm surprised that the legal system doesn't want to give recognition.
