Episode 25: The Art of the Deal
In the 1980s, Donald Trump was developing his resume for the presidency the most American way possible: by acquiring junk bonds and being a slumlord.
You left out the punchline to Trump's insane bit about the Javits Center: it's where Hillary's victory party was supposed to be held (because the building has glass ceilings, get it?)
Having listened
To this episode, I have 2 questions: 1 - did you look into the alleged voicemails left by Trump for journalists in the 80s talking about how great this guy Trump was? And 2 - did you get to read all the Doonesbury Trump strips? Bonus q 3 - are both hilarious and/or tragic?
Trump truly was the first reality TV businessman influencer because he’s absorbed the basic premise of How To Make Friends and Influence People, but he’s not here to make friends.
