--stable and sex isn't, is just... Well, there's nothing out there, to my knowledge. This is why the extermination of worldwide understandings of gender and sexual diversity is so devastating. We've even lost even the vocabulary to be able to give voice to ideas, much less identities.

So, apparently, the Japanese word "futanari" comes from an incredibly cool etymological history. My Japanese is so rusty that I can just barely follow along, but the nutshell version is that it was apparently a way of talking about sex fluidity, parallel to genderfluidity. Go read! It's neat!!

Waaaaaaait what? Holy crap, am I understanding it right--it's like a sex fluidity in the way a genderfluid person's sense of gender shifts over time? Like, parallel, because sex and gender are separate, obviously, but also acknowledging that the segmentation of sex and gender are pretty recent?

I think it's two things: 1. The heaviest hairs get got early. More hair, more reactive surface for the electrolytic process, so it works a little better a little quicker. 2. Less hair = less dysphoria. Less dysphoria = less dissociation. Less dissociation = better perception of the pain.
