The history book doesn't have a name yet, but it's the story of Miyagi Prefecture during the US occupation. It argues that this is just one chapter of a very, very long story in the Tohoku region that often rhymes. I'm writing the first draft in 4500 word chapters.

The novel is "A Sword Beside Her," a prequel and soft reboot of "Confluence." It tells River and Kasu's story properly from the beginning, and shows the community that supported them through the journey of becoming who we know them as in their prime.
