EXPERIMENTING WITH SHADERS AND TRYING NEW THINGS IS WORTH IT! They're just so versatile and with all the tools in the poiyomi shader you can just do some really cool and intense stuff if you fiddle with things a while :3

The poyomi shader can do a lot of fun things, especially if you give the pro version a try, I used the iridescence and glitter effects for my avali! I specifically put them on the colorful wing tips as a way to try and simulate the way some bird's feathers reflect light, but it's also just fun :3

I also use it on the mask because I think it helps the colored areas pop a bit more (specifically the darker red) and also contributes to the overall definition of it, but it's also easier to notice in motion UNFORTUNATELY, a good shader still needs good world lighting to work properly uvu

JUST TO DEMONSTRATE WHAT I MEAN The left picture is a demonstration is aniso on and the right is it with aniso off, you could probably get similar effects with other things, but this only requires isolating the part of the texture you want a luster on and using it as the 'mask'

it is UNFORTUNATELY another texture file you'll need to worry about, and if you want a colored luster it'll start adding extra filesize to your model, but if you're using it for something low detail you can easily get away with a 1k texture

TO THOSE OF Y'ALL THAT USE THE POIYOMI SHADER FOR VR STUFF Consider fuckin around with anisotropics sometime! It can add a really fun luster to things when you slap a mask on it! I didn't know about it until I tried out Javenchi's Baedyr which uses it for the clothes and it's real fun :3
