If any indigenous group proposed to re-establish a defunct nation-state with the intent of importing settlers to make itself the ethnic majority while displacing and dispossessing the equally indigenous group already occupying that territory, I would consider it unjust.

The term Palestine is etymologically derived from Philistia. It's part of the area that Palestinians have lived in for millennia. The region has been called Palestine for millennia. The people who live there now are descended from people who lived there for millennia. They are indigenous people.

There is no evidence that Jewish people have been there longer than Palestinians. the Jewish people were a Canaanite people, just like the Philistines. Whatever names Palestinians have used for themselves, if the descendants of Philistines aren't indigenous, neither are Jewish people.

1. There were many KINGDOMS in the Levant. All of them were predominantly Canaanite. Their descendants still live in that region. The Palestinians are one of those people. 2. If the Italians aren't indigenous to Italy then Jews aren't indigenous to the Levant. Someone else was there first.

No, it's not. You're making up a meaning for "indigenous" it simply doesn't have. Plants are indigenous (or not). Animals are indigenous (or not.) They don't have cultures or politics, but they can be "native" to a region or not.

Those kingdoms all now no longer exist. That doesn't mean their descendants aren't still occupying the same land. And the Palestinians are ONE GROUP of the descendants of those Bronze Age Canaanites who have been living CONTINUOUSLY in what is now Israel/Palestine for thousands of years.
