I had a heat pump in Maryland. When it was cold it was constantly in "emergency heat" mode. My brother had one in Delaware & they had space heaters in every room.

What sort of ratio of heat out vs energy used are they getting now? Because when I last looked at them gas was still cheaper per kWh of heat.
