It is, but it's still funny. I normally don't like watching movies where people suffer embarrassment, but these guys don't know the meaning of the word. It's like watching Superman get shot with a machine gun. It would be awful if it was someone who could be hurt by bullets.

My favorite post-apocalyptic story is the novel "Jam" by Yahtzee Croshaw. The protagonist wakes up one morning to find their city covered in a meter-thick layer of strawberry jam that converts any organic matter it touches into strawberry jam. (cont)

It's a movie about manchildren. You're not supposed to like any of the characters, you're supposed to laugh at them. Seriously, there is not a single truly mature man in this movie. They're all grown-ass boys playing pretend in real life.

A bottle literally designed to waste up to 15% of the product. And I don't know if the designer was evil or forced to design it that way. Like a phone scammer. Are they a con artist or some poor kid lured to a criminal-run call center with the promise of employment then forced to scam or starve?

Social media used to depend on getting more users on the site to grow. They had to make the user experience more pleasant. Now they've figured out how to maximize profit with fewer users. It's a bad way to spread the word about anything.

Kids just getting started trying to be independent artists will never experience or understand what a real "grass roots" support network on Twitter or whatever can be like. I've mentioned this before but early Kickstarters I ran? 1/3rd of the funding was from Twitter.

On that, at least, we can agree. I would love if they picked a candidate to bring in voters who are choosing not to vote. But that's not what they're going to do. Some are outright saying we should stick with Biden as the nominee because he won against Trump last time. "He's a proven winner!"

You want the truth about 2016? Here you are: Sanders filled stadiums. Clinton couldn't fill high school gyms. She only won the popular vote because people were voting AGAINST Trump, not FOR her. Just like people voted AGAINST Trump in 2020, not FOR Biden.

When I was 4 or 5, I'd get what I called "monkey cookies" because the box had a photo of one of the cookies with a monkey face drawn on it with bright colorful lines. They were chocolate with big sugar granules sprinkled on top. They were sold in gas stations. I miss them from time to tome.

Gaëtan's submission of his address book of sex partners pretty much sealed the deal on HIV being sexually transmitted. And because he submitted a record that extensive, he was at the center of a lot of the contact tracing. On charts, Gaëtan was marked "O." Not 0, O. For "Out of California."

Gaëtan Dugas was a sexually active, gay, French-Canadian airhost. He was diagnosed so early, he participated in a study to prove HIV was sexually transmitted. (Yes, this was WAY back.) Gaëtan kept an address book (people used to do that), and the researchers used it for contact tracing.

The best description of "Slay the Princess" is "haunting." It haunts me. I'm pretty sure I got the best ending, but I still want to play it again to see if I can do better. I'm currently loving "Tavern Talk." It's like a warm blanket fresh fron the dryer for my soul. There's a free demo on Steam.

A trick I learned from a Tom Waits interview: When an idea comes, treat it like a client. Say, "Sorry, I can't get to that right now, but let me make an appointment for you." Then jot down a note an address it as soon as you are able.

What I'm working on now. I'm a graphic designer (not as exciting as it sounds, I make flyers, posters & banners and nearly all art is supplied by the clients) but I'm working on a comic book series at home. I'd keep my day job and spend the UBI publishing the comic. And sleep better at night.
