I am fully willing to admit this may be a “me problem”, but I have a 2020 Honda and just read the 8 pages of the manual about its ACC system and a) I don’t think I can turn off LKAS and b) it involves enough button presses and looking at the console that I think I’d rather just drive.

It's simple for Toyota/Lexus vehicles. I can't imagine Honda/Acura make it difficult. Quick Googling says you just scroll to the page on the dash info display [between the gauges, usually], highlight LKAS, and push the main button to turn it off [if true, that's identical to Toyota/Lexus' method].
