It's hard getting stuff "out there" these days. We're trying to build a little Mulgrave Audio world of vintage weirdness. If you've enjoyed our stuff, maybe consider an RT, a share, a Bandcamp review, anything like that? It all helps enormously - thanks.

I swear I have watched NOTHING that would make the YouTube algorithm think I'd be interested in this bollocks, but here we are. Moon loonies sliding into my suggestions.

If you're ever in York, I highly recommend The House Of Trembling Madness on Lendal, they always have a selection of cracking 3%-ers on alongside the heavier stuff. Different beers on both floors and it changes regularly. www.tremblingmadness.uk

"White shit"? Yeah, I suppose an old white dog-poo comparison works too.

I worked in an independent games shop for a while in 1990/91 and remember the day we got a grey import PC Engine in, along with (from slightly fuzzy memory) R-Type, Gunhed, Atomic Robo-Kid and Bonk's Adventure. Not a single jaw failed to hit the floor numerous times.

Sorry to hear it mate. The reality is of course that there's a long road ahead, but as someone who's been an NHS worker for ten years now, I can tell you there were more than a few of us feeling a bit emotional on Friday. First time we've glimpsed light in what feels like a geological age.

For anyone else in the illustration, design and photography community out there who's looking for alternatives to Adobe, Affinity are currently offering a SIX MONTH free trial of their apps. Absolute no-brainer: affinity.serif.com/en-gb/trial/

Oh, I do my best to remain socially unacceptable too. I have noticed an uptick in bots following me, but they can't DM unless I follow each of those entirely convincing young ladies in return.

It never ceases to amaze me how easily some are drawn to the self-entitled whining and manufactured grievance that populists always offer in place of genuinely workable solutions.

Affinity, definitely. I finally ditched Adobe last week but I've been mucking about with Affinity for years. Inkscape is Ok as a free, open-source alternative to illustrator, but the last time I tried GIMP I couldn't stand the user interface (in fairness that was years ago, it may have improved).

If I remember correctly, W.A.S.P. are the band featured. A classic of the straight-to-video era. I need to plan a rewatch of some of that stuff. Battletruck, Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone and The Wraith will all be on the list with Ragewar.

Me and the missus both welled up a bit at different times yesterday, mostly joyfully. Seemed like the only sane response to having payed increasing attention to the grinding, escalating horror of what the country's been through over the past fourteen years.

Seeing jokes about Taylor Swift, it occurred to me that as far as I'm aware, I don't know any of her output. Genuinely, not a single song. I know there's one about shaking stuff, but I couldn't point it out in a pop lineup. I've no intention of changing that state of affairs either.

Fantastic, thankyou! I'll drop you a message when they're ready if that's OK. Probably a couple more weeks. Texture-wise, they're all designed for 300dpi and they'll require Sketchbook with the premium bundle, but I think that's only a extra few dollars.

Cheers! I've been selling Sketchbook brushes quite successfully for a few years, but I've learned an awful lot more in that time and started reworking the lot from the ground up. I was thinking of asking some pros to test them out for me when they're done so if you're interested, let me know! :)

Had that feeling since Monday. Been trying my best to keep the lid on it. After the past decade of utter madness, I'm just not convinced this country's finished punching itself in the face. I hope to all fuck I'm wrong.

Also reminding myself of how much fun it's possible to have just playing around and pushing the limits of the brush engine in something supposedly 'lightweight', like Sketchbook!

Thanks Denis. I'm in the last month of my subscription anyway, so the timing made perfect sense. I've been playing around with Affinity Photo more and I can't find a single area where it doesn't meet my needs, often more quickly and with less jank than Photoshop!
