I take it you aren't going to provide us with examples. What do you want to see in a cover letter? I mean, assuming I ever finish writing anything?

There's no tedious, badly written, and interminable stuff like the ORIGINAL tedious, badly written, and interminable stuff!

Most people want to do what they believe is good. Problem is, their ideas of "good" are mutually incompatible.

This is part of why I don't (much) mind being fairly obscure. No hatemail, no attempts to get me fired.

Somewhere I have a D5, a D7, and (I think) a D21 or maybe a D23.
I use them for examples in my Elementary Statistics classes.

I admit I'm not good at parallel parking, but this is far worse than anything I've ever done. This sounds like someone who had read a description of parallel parking in a badly-written book, and never seen it done.

The first suspicion I had that "po-tah-to" was apocryphal was when watching my child watching _Peppa Pig_, who referred several times to "Po-tay-toes." Peppa's friends have a range of British accents, but none of them said "po-tah-to."

This sounds so terribly, profoundly brain-damaged. Like, the 1st people to see meteors would have been seeing something outside their known paradigm, yet apparently could figure it out.

I dimly remember a conversation about some strange individual who kissed her ostrich or emu, and the simultaneous gasps of horror and revulsion that followed. Perhaps it was that?

Yet when Biden withdrew from Afghanistan, some months after Trump had said he would have it done, Republicans excoriated him for it, and said it was too soon.
Not that hypocrisy has ever slowed them down.

I did not know that. I had read, long ago, that the genus name for ants was _formica_ and thought that perhaps the stuff counters were made from was chemically similar to the ant's exoskeleton.
The stuff the ant injects into you when it stings is called _formic acid_, for the genus name.

People have already pointed out that Classics Illustrated and Cliff Notes/Spark Notes have done this for a long time. Let me be the first to point out:

_Bored of the Rings_ was the capstone of Harvard Lampoon's genius. They also produced _Doon_ and _The Sillymarillion_, but in my opinion neither managed the brilliance of _Bored_.

Here's a workaround: Claim that the bail money isn't for bail, but simply a gratuity!
(Yes, I'm being sarcastic, but it's my way to cope in a world where it is legal to bribe officials after the fact, but not legal to help a poor person stay out of jail.)

It's not unlike that game we used to play where we post a starting phrase from our phones and then choose the middle auto-suggest word for the rest of it.

Our general process has been to keep them as comfortable as possible until we can't keep them comfortable any more, and then end their pain as humanely as possible. This means, in particular, no chemo.
I'm sorry you have to deal with this, but it's the price of being a cat servant. Sympathies.
