I read THE POMEGRANATE GATE by Ariel Kaplan, this week, and it's fabulous. And then, I made the mistake of looking at GR reviews, which have a decent bit of people complaining that it's just another book with the Fae. And like, hello, do they not realize how Jewish the book is??? 1/

It's literally based on the Spanish Inquisition and Spain. It draws liberally from Jewish folklore. The magical beings in the book have magic, but they are 100% not the Fae. 2/
