Finally!
I wrote about this case a few months ago--worth noting that the majority-Black town of Newbern stopped holding elections altogether riiight around the time the Voting Rights Act said no, really, you can't keep Black folks from participating in elections

The assumption has always been AI would be the death of humans. We just all assumed it would be a supercomputer w/ a million robots. Turns out it will be a heatwave or freeze w/o electricity and the lack of water in general *caused* by a super computer running AI . 😡🤬😡

Yep. I put cumin on all sorts of things. I grew up in South Texas. It’s a staple like salt & pepper.
And dill. I absolutely love dill.

Oh good to know! I have to find gluten free tofu. It often has wheat in it. But on my list for tomorrow’s grocery now. Have to try this week. I’ll let you know!

Oooooo. Yum! Thank you!
The cashew cream sauce I used for the pizza is a version if this:
Except I double the garlic and add a few TBLSP extra water

Any good gluten free flatbread recipe works.

Right?!? I love how who she was blows up all the assumptions about disability. Her “handlers” wanted her to be a stoic, intellectual, virginal icon—and she wanted so much more for herself & others. *so much much more*

I think I will repeat for lunch a couple times this week. Your tofu w/ veggies in ginger sauce looked *amazing*
What do you put in the sauce?

She was a founder of the ACLU, a supporter of NAACP (as a daughter of a retired Confederate Army captain, nonetheless), and s major supporter of birth control access. She was also an active *sexual experimentalist.* They called her “Red Hot Helen.” (US Women’s historian here)

Homemade pizzas earlier. Too good to wait for picture. Homemade gluten-free flatbread w/ a vegan cashew cream sauce, sautéed onions, mushrooms & broccoli, w/ grilled chicken & tomatoes topped w/ very good local(ish) koroneiki extra virgin olive oil & dried Mediterranean spices.
Now to walk dog.

I worry nothing is going to work out, but then our sheltie snuggles up against me and I’m much more at peace (not perfect, but much much better).

If you can wash them by hand and hang them dry easily—4 minimum. If not—Jen’s right a bigger number if you can.

A friend from Chicago sent this to me: her local branch of Chicago Public Library created an exhibition of left-behind water bottles titled "Thirst: An Exploration of Modern Dehydration," and it made her think of me. We've been friends for 40 years. She knows me well 🥰

Yesssss. I always make smashburgers on the grill. Husband does different. Anyhow—small chunk of cold butter buried inside raw meat in addition to whatever seasonings, let sit for a bit on grill and then smash, cook & flip.

Google & Mayo Clinic disagree about how much protein in chickpeas. Considering how horrible Google results are these days, think I’ll go w/ Mayo Clinic

Yep!!! Now I really understand the origins of your whipped cream idea. Because let’s be honest—smelling that vanilla only to swallow a 💊 is just anticlimactic. There should be old fashioned crank made ice cream w/ that smell. 🍨
