One could say the same right now for Sotomayor and Kagan in their mid to late 60s. If Biden put in 2 40-year-olds right now there wouldn't be much chance of them being replaced during the next few administrations.

If I understand, Trump is immune from prosecution for conspiring with aides how to break a law but if the broken law is outside his official acts, then he may be prosecuted for the act. The fake electors and coercing state officials is fair game.

Likewise, but Lichtman's reasoning is good. Biden's incumbency gives him an advantage against Trump that Harris may not gain even if she were sworn in right now.

Assuming Biden could not complete the campaign, Newsom would not step on Harris' toes. He's said as much in the past. Allan Lichtman has a good record analyzing elections and thinks only Biden can beat Trump.
