Also, even if they don't blow your mind, almost every beer in that city is going to be good. The baseline was on par with some of my favorite beer cities, like the aforementioned Portland. I was really impressed.

I hear you on the less "social." It has a distinct vibe. We did SO much. I flew out for Rangers @ Kraken. We hit Ballard and Fremont and just about everything downtown has to offer. 10 days and I drove down to the Oregon coast for a couple of them. Epic trip.

Just got to this one. One of my best friends moved to Ballard in '19. I finally got out there last fall. Absolutely loved the city. And I made it to the Taylor Shellfish by KEXP because I wasn't leaving without geoduck sashimi. I'm a shellfish sicko. It's my favorite food.

Central is a must. I looked up Leeward's and I don't think it was there the last time I was up there. My 'fanciest' meal was probably Fore Street. That place is nice. But the Eventide/Honey Paw block is the shit. Brown butter lobster roll!

Probably my favorite non-brewery bar in town. That or Novare Res. Have you been to Central Provisions? That's one of my favorite places to eat anywhere. Now I just want to go back to Portland thanks lol.

Also, funny sidenote. I was a big NE-HI fan and it took me YEARS to realize that was Jason Balla from Dehd's first band. Once I heard it I couldn't unhear it. They kicked ass.
