This was neat, thank you. One thing is add is that it’s one of only a few ways our culture allows people to be in their bodies, and it’s toxic but I’m not sure it’s more toxic than many of the others. Women’s diet culture is also super normal.

TIL: the Fall of Rome guy is a gym rat who wrote/writes a lot about fitness. Huh. I don't understand how he can write that many words about Bro Culture without addressing misogyny. A passing mention of 2 women who are part of the ecosystem, and that's literally it.
