Agreed. In 1991, during the First Gulf war, I ran foul of some US Servicemen who were driving on the wrong side of the road. Head on smash, maybe 70 mph closing speed to a dead stop in the length of the car bonnet. I walked away with cuts and bruises. Sometimes you get one chance. 😱

Yikes. Well I always say that the purpose of pain is to make us smarter. There are many self-obsessed idiots on the road. I've been a two wheeler all my life (290kmh and the Lycra clad types). I think awareness of peril also makes you empathic too because you realise we're all mere meat bags.
