When I went to Catholic school we had a couple late converts as teachers and they were always 1000% more intense than the actual nuns and Jesuits.

My grandmother was a convert (to marry my grandpa) and she once told the Brother who was head of my Dad‘s Catholic middle school that he, the Brother, was a Bad Catholic. Combine with the threat of a walkout, she completely cowed him.
