Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail ✅A great distillation of ten years into a single mission statement. ✅The graphic overhaul really sings in the new areas. The final dungeon looks truly incredible at times. 🚫First act is a bit overly functional and simplistic to its detriment 🚫Too light on Voice Acting.

Nothing in Dawntrail has been worse than the Ruby Sea or the absolute brake that is the Nu Mou, instead it's been five levels of a dumbass throne chaser hastily filling in the gaps of her knowledge. Maybe it's happening a bit too easily, but idk, the vibe is there, and the vibe is always the thing.

I basically finished Act 1 of Dawntrail last night (up to the 95 dungeon) and while I'm not bouncing off the walls over some of the writing (it feels a bit overly functional at times), it is absolutely enjoyable and I am not surprised a story about how diversity is frothing up the usual folks.
