After that election, how any American can put faith in them is beyond me. It's patently absurd. Weak polling, strong, doesn't matter: Go out and vote for who you're going to vote for, or don't. But don't let polls decide for you.

It's kind of entertaining. It'll be half a dozen non sequiturs and a lot of complaining that Black people are on TV too much and anecdotal accounts of Biden being senile, at least half of which are lazily altered deepfakes they found on Facebook. Oh, and Hunter Biden. He matters for some reason.

I just can't believe how many people sincerely want fascism and are eagerly welcoming it with open arms. It's not most of us, but still, it's horrifying given all we know about it from history, how stoppable it actually is, but people like Golden sign up to be cheerleaders for it immediately.

Which means rn, we all gotta be really careful with what we say, and to whom we listen, parsing out nuances of 'This system sucks and voting is not a sufficient long-term solution to what ails it' and 'It's all pointless, so don't bother voting because it makes no difference.' Tune out the latter.

The stakes for electing POTUS are even higher now, we're basically electing our kings going forward. Which means milquetoast Dems saying 'Just vote, vote for us every time, forever, or the evil(er) people will ruin everything' is true, and I hate that. Terrible system, but it's what we got.

The US failed a very, very simple test in 2016: Don't elect an unfit moron who will absolutely abuse power to the highest office in the land. Even still, he could've been stopped many times. But Trump showed us all how dilapidated our legal and political institutions at the highest level truly are.

We all kinda knew this, but it REALLY hit me seeing them TRY to pitch this to normal people. Like, the meetings they attend to say how hard they 'work' it LITERALLY doesn't matter for them, so error-ridden garbage isn't a concern to them, and they don't understand why it would be to anyone else.
