Any album by Uriah Heep, but my top two favorites are Sweet Freedom and Wizards. Outstanding highway music. Also the best of BTO (So Far).

Sigor ros for early morning. My new fav girl talk bounce that for some boost. And daft punk and the 1975 for the rest.

Moon Colony Bloodbath is an EP by @themountaingoats.bsky.social and @johnvanderslice.bsky.social that absolutely screams that part of the world. It’s not available on streaming services but there’s a rip of the full album on YouTube. (I have it on vinyl but I hope it will be on streaming some day.)

Both "Chinatown" and "Blue Horse" by the Be Good Tanyas are damn near perfect road music, imo. I sing along to them regularly in the car. First heard the Tanyas on NPR while driving up the CA & OR coastline during a winter storm years ago, and associate those albums w/driving.

What comes to mind is the Kinks' concept albums, especially *The Village Green Preservation Society*. Since they are stories that can bloom in your head.
