Starting Aug. 1, Louisiana will require all health insurance plans to cover menopause/perimenopause treatment. They will be obliged to cover hormone replacement therapy without prior authorization, etc. that is sometimes used to delay or deny HRT coverage. lailluminator.com/2024/07/03/i...

Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry cut $1 million in funding for a homeless shelter run by his hometown chapter of Catholic Charities. The governor, who is Catholic, said he is unhappy with the support Catholic Charities provides to immigrants.

Where does Gov. Jeff Landry stand on IVF treatment? Unclear.

When I asked him last month if he agreed with the Alabama Supreme Court ruling, he said he hadn't heard of the ruling and would have to get back to me. (It had been in the news for weeks.)

Louisiana legislators voted down a proposal to put abortion access on a state ballot today.

Voters in six other states have strengthened abortion access since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. 13 states might do the same this year.
