Exoplanet Imaging alert. AF Lep b! Remarkable detection of a 3 Jupiter-mass exoplanet with JWST/NIRCam at 1.8 lambda/D (0.32") for a Lyot coronagraph that was designed to operate at 6 lambda/D (inner-working angle). The data processed by William Balmer, amazing job!

I am so glad this team revisited (reprocessed) all the VLT/NACO polarimetric differential imaging data sets! This is impressive, rewarding.

I am sorry, I don't come to bsky very often! I am particularly excited about Aarynn Carter's program 5835 but also Beth Biller's 6005 (though this one is a filler, might not get executed) www.stsci.edu/jwst/science...

JWST Cycle 3 outcome: I am excited to be part of several very very cool projects, sad for other projects but these will eventually pass.
I am especially excited because some of the accepted proposals I am involved with aim at finding new planets in direct imaging!!!

Now the launch is a thing of the past and we can celebrate its 2 years already! Wow, it's been so worth it to change job, learn space astronomy and missions, move country yet again 6.5 years ago. #JWST delivers and delivers and it's a pleasure to help making that happen. 2/2

The NASA/ESA/CSA #JWST launch used to be an abstract thing of the future, something that we were working towards but we weren't exactly sure about because of the many subsystems and hardware we, as astronomers and scientists had absolutely no control over. 1/2

See this headline is why people who have been busting their asses on SETI for LITERALLY DECADES are annoyed (and others are annoyed for them).

8 years working there, I saw many media visits. Yet, this might be the best video I have seen about ESO's Paranal Observatory, the VLT, VLTI and the ELT in construction.
Well done

Cool to see the OSIRIS REx asteroid sample land in the Utah desert and then being safely transferred to a clean room at a Dugway Proving Ground facility. In 1999-2000 I used to go there to install a fiber-optic calibration system for the HiRes Fly's Eye cosmic ray observatory, my intro to research!

I think Julieta Fierro (a great Mexican divulgador of astronomy) could point you to someone. She’s on 🦤only though. I’ll tag you and her. It’s true that the references of the Wikipedia pages are a bit old now so I don’t know who’s actively working on it.
