thinking of us (and most of the world) at the end of 2008... if there's a banking/macroeconomic crisis and the news talks about little else, then everyone feels pessimistic and worries about their jobs. Fears for the future, rather than present situation. In Beijing, I guess it was the opposite?

Put on kettle but the AI wasn't feeling like it so no tea. Dog was busy with AI bowl, didn't notice me go by. Spread AI on toast by mistake. Bit crunchy but ok. Opened bathroom door but could not face AI health check. Popped outside instead for a quick, er, walk but garden has pivoted to AI. Help?

That's my mom loooool. There's actually a sad but beautiful story most don't know. When this happened my mom had just gotten back from dealing with the loss of my aunt (her sister) and she was grief-stricken. Dealing with these crazy birds pulled her out of her grief. We called them her angels
