it doesn't help that some of the documentation on the artists on compilations is scant to non-existent to flat out wrong. There is also like 3 transliteration schemes for Thai so working backwards from the transliterated Thai to Thai can be very hard actually.

Yeah, even if you find the lp for sale in Thailand via the web (which means a better price), to get it shipped here pretty much requires a courier service. It's still less than the Japanese imports but I spent $70 on my last molam record

Haha it's not the only reason I learned to read Thai but it helps me get access to the Thai music I like. I know from experience how much of a nightmare it is to find out anything about these artists or their tracks without access to the original language.

Yes, this particular track probably falls under the lukkrung label. Lukthung and molam are usually faster bpm and have more traditional instruments. She seems to fall under those mantels as well
