But also: if this were my first time learning an additional language I donāt think I would find Duolingo helpful. I know enough to know what I donāt know and seek it out. I would be so frustrated if I didnāt! Itās no substitute for a community of learners and some metacognitive strategies.

Google āMassachusetts crisis pregnancyā and this link pops up. Itās part of a statewide campaign, including public signage (highway billboards!), urging people to avoid crisis pregnancy/anti-abortion centers. The Commonwealth is not fucking around with this.

Itās fun to learn languages when youāre a nerdā¦ just like it was perplexing that Al-Kitaab thought us to talk about the United Nations in Arabic, Duolingo teaches us the word for wizard in the first lesson (Velho š§) ā¦ sauna and sisu come up soon after

This is my first year with central a/c and we will see how it goes but right now I have it set to 78 - though I may have to lower it because 100+yo house and upstairs has crap insulation. Lots of strategically placed fans. All good so long as it doesnāt get smoky š„out
