In this particular situation, I (obviously) believe that publicly saying that we need more facts from sources which don't have a stated agenda is appropriate! I'm not looking for a purity checklist. I just don't want to get my data strictly from TERFs and the TERF-adjacent. This is not unreasonable

Saying this less articulately has earned me some pretty angry responses today. I assume because so many people use “discussion” as a smokescreen to push their awful agendas, there’s just no room to bring up any questions whatsoever without folks acting as though you’re pro-harming-people.
