IME: a lot of news outlets care about what NYT does. But when I worked for NYT the only other outlet my editor's cared about was WaPo. They'll destroy democracy for profits and prestige and the media ecosystem will let them

Michelle Wolf was right about every single journalist who worked the Trump campaign and WH. They refused to call a lie a lie. MH was the worst. It was a lie when HRC said something false, but not Trump. Then, it was false/misleading. We cheered the NY case bc it felt like there were consequences.
