I get it now. This is rage bait, specifically targeted at Joe Biden. The rest of us are just collateral damage. The news is trying to kill the president, is what's happening, to usher in the president who cannot fucking wait to kill people who work for the news It all makes sense now!

Ah, FB memories serving up some winners. This is what an itemized $1,330,000 NICU hospital bill looks like (only 96 days to get there). The apple is there for scale. Here’s why I share it. Too many ppl don’t know abt lifetime caps and pre-existing bans. Bc the STILL-VULNERABLE ACA banned them.

I was going to read this to dunk on it but literally the opening line is about George RR Martin and Game of Thrones and Game of Thrones is hyperlinked to take you to another MSNBC article called “What Game of Thrones has to teach us about politics”

adults don't refrain from doing what they think is right bc somebody might say "no." or more generally, "wahh what if it doesn't work?" i actually think changing the candidate at this point is sheer madness and they should be stumping as hard as humanly possible instead of melting down like babies

In all seriousness, if I were in congress, I'd collect the signatures on the condition that the letter and signatures are burned if it doesn't reach a threshold, and delivered otherwise, so you either say "Mr President, half your party says its time to leave" or they don't. But it forces it.

Seven times between 1801 and 1869 Congress changed the size of the court, going from a low of five justices in 1801 to a high of ten in 1863. In most of those cases, as in 1801 and 1863, the size went up and down in order to fix an imbalance or overreach by the Supreme Court. My latest

Trewhella is telling the truth of the anti-abortion movement out loud: opposition to abortion is grounded in hostility to the full and equal participation of women in public life and in adult society. It always has been and always will be.

Among these, I always get stuck on the Senate filibuster. It did not exist in any form while the Framers were alive. The current form, in which a Senator can stop a bill permanently without doing anything, did not exist until the 1970s. But it's treated as sacrosanct.

Dear @nytimes.com @washingtonpost.com @cnn.com & all the rest,

I do not care who the Democratic nominee is or will be.

Donald Trump tried to steal the 2020 election and orchestrated a violent coup.

He is running for president, first and foremost, so that he can pardon himself for his many crimes.

I'm sorry but if your whole thing was "he's incapacitated, he's lost, he cant do anything" and he just turns around and whips your whole little freakout movement that all the press in the country was cheering for....what does that say about you?

I've really never seen anything like what the New York Times is doing right now. Hard to say whether the long-term consequences will be worse than those of their 2003 Iraq war run-up misreporting, but this is a stunningly obvious partisan warpath they're on.

So the more I see of this, the more I respect it. The Cybertruck is so unrelentingly and singularly absurd that the only sane aesthetic response is to heap yet more absurdity on top. This exudes a level of "you're locked in here with me" energy that you don't often get the opportunity to witness.

I don't even understand the theory here. Biden has Parkinson's and they know he has it but they're not giving him the known effective (for a time) treatments because...? If this were about Parkinson's then carbidopa / levodopa would ameliorate symptoms quickly and he could campaign more effectively
