ah man starting to think opening the most miserable liminal spaces in modern America every other block and then locking all products behind glass so the one employee on hand can get to it 15 minutes from now ISN'T a great business model.
This Walgreen's used to be a bookstore in the heart of downtown Boston, where you could pleasantly spend the time browsing and making impulse book buys.
if Walgreen's is still around in 10 years it's going to be online-only and it's gonna be another third-party marketplace absolutely awash in junk brain pills
Doesn't matter how empty the store, you will ALWAYS have to wait behind 2 other customers when trying to check out. At least one of these customers will be paying with a check.
The only time I have been in one in like a decade is to pickup a fedex package. Like everything they sell is cheaper at Walmart or Sam's club both of which also have pharmacies. I don't understand why chain drugstores exist anymore when every grocery store has a pharmacy.
