"Temet nosce"
This is the only warning: I'm into a variety of games and writing. I post weird stuff here as an amateur, mature stuff elsewhere. BattleTech, tabletop roleplaying, Pokémon, and similar hobbies are fair game to be represented/discussed here.
It's a linking line between "suffering builds character" and "if we suffered, so must our children, otherwise they won't understand how the real world works".
One is an overly glib reduction of something which *might* have merit. The other is just hostility towards their own kids.

Every time I see "thirty years ago", it's almost ALWAYS followed by something more accurate to the previous generation than the one they actually are pointing to.

I've referred to it recently as "adulting".
I hate it, but I do have to remind myself it could be worse... I could be a repair crew member at Castle Heterodyne.

I'm going to note there are some really dangerous and powerful beings who don't have names, but still have identities.
One of them had a rather nasty Giggle, you might say.

I'm going to console myself in supposing, hoping, since he ISN'T currently in the office right now... if he pulls the same shit, he could be held accountable.
(... not that I think he will be.)

I will, however, say there was a portion of my childhood watching "Twilight Zone" with Rod Serling. This does not count as it's not a movie.
Neither did "Forbidden Planet" as it was in color.

This is not what I am referring to by "other things with 'so-called medical exemptions'."
However, my mother (who walks with two canes) has had someone insist she was faking it and demanded proof she actually "deserved" the placard. Nobody in authority, but still.
People have *lost* their minds.

I mean, the same has been said about *other* laws which are all about restricting personal liberties. "Oh, there can be exceptions."
Yes. There are. For the in-group.

I could guess the brush with her master threatening her for disloyalty might have done it. I had to rethink and I don't believe he actually was trying to kill her. Or Osha. Only the Jedi.
... and apparently Mae has *reasons* for wanting the same.
I want to see what else happened THAT night.

On the contrary! Having unfinished stories and half-written drafts lying around means you're definitely *succeeding* at being a writer. (And that's not an attempt to be funny!) It means you're *working* at writing. There's absolutely no more rleiable diagnostic.

It's more frustrating for me that his son could potentially impact the campaign while Mr. 34 Counts likely *won't* have his campaign impacted by it.

As I said elsewhere:
If you're happy with the job then all is well.
And if you're not happy? Then learn something from the effort, strip them down, and start over :) Paint isn't permanent. Most times.

They were priming to go for that in 2016, while early results were still coming in. Them doing it in 2020 was not surprising.

One, that's adorable and I was right when I thought the logos would look great as a mash-up.
Two, much as I love the look I would prefer we not break Katie settling the weight of worlds on her shoulders. (Let it break Alaric instead.)
