The price of gas in San Antonio, TX on Memorial Day Weekend. This was the lowest (non-Costco) price I saw today. The highest was $3.14.

Today I went to grab a burger at a BK and it was clearly understaffed. Another customer commented to the manager that he sympathized with them, adding "there are a lot of lazy people out there. The factors of low FF wages & a tight labor market (due to low unemployment) never occurred to him.

I was born in 1955 when Black Americans were still 2nd class citizens. Things changed greatly during my lifetime but that doesn't mean they can't change back. The current SOTUS has shown that rights can be taken away. I pray people think about this when they decide about voting.

If you want to have a national referendum directly on the question of disqualification, THAT would be "letting the voters decide." But no one's proposing that. And they don't have to, because the Constitution contains clear instructions.

I had a mid 70s NJ public school education and, to be honest, I barely remember being taught anything about the civil war. There was the American revolution and then not much of anything until the Great Depression.
