No they don’t do it at all. Quite the opposite in fact. The Religious Right spent decades getting betrayed by politicians who promised to overturn Roe. They voted, in numbers, and got attention that way. They never sat it out because they actually understand how this game works.

What I want is the Republicans completely out if power. I want to dump them like the UK dumped the tories. Let’s make them a historical party like the Whigs. Then, we can relegate the dems to the conservative position and find/make a decent left/climate change/labor party

No More Souters became a rallying cry, not a vow to stop supporting the GOP

Are people still confused about what republicans do in primaries vs a general election? It's not that hard.

They do often follow through on voting against people, though — in primaries. Where there is a candidate closer to your position to vote for.

What they have done is voted for their candidate - take "I'm not a witch" lady - even if they knew the person had a higher chance of losing in the general. Then they would vote for whoever the nominee was. All of this forced the party further right.

A great example of your point is McConnell here in Kentucky. Some were convinced that he would lose because the Trumpers hated him so much. Of course, he won easily every time.
