yeah but the biggest mistake was the Union didn't shoot first. Buchanan did fuck all when SC seceded instead of saying "NO" and marching troops into Charleston while the state was still organizing.

I mean, Buchanan sucked for a variety of reasons but he was absolutely right to do nothing (by accident). Having the war take place entirely on rebel soil made it much easier to win, vs. giving Confederates the opportunity to sail up the Atlantic.

our current big mistake was not holding Trump and ALL of his supporters (looking at you Ginni Thomas) accountable with immediate arrest after J6. Instead we dicked around in the interest of "bipartisanship" and "deference" that led us to today. Sometimes NOT shooting first is worse.
