Nothing is stopping every single Democratic elected official and apparatchik from taking the airwaves every single day to articulately and decisively repeat a set of cogent talking points about Trump (ie 45). Nothing. Dem PACs could be slamming him with ads now. Stop whining and do that.

Kinda like he could pardon J6 folks but didn't bother. Trump will not pardon anyone unless there is something in it for him. Anyone counting on a pardon to protect them is delusional.

I know people think that the Presidency makes you superhuman, but it does not. Ask anyone in emergency services what their sleep schedule is like, and they'll tell you they always need more. There are guys at the firehouse who sleep through half the shift waiting for a call.

Gulp, I just hit submit on my first short story (I sometimes get ideas besides my research). More to have just done it than any hope of actual acceptance. But you know, Heinlein got his start in a contest because he needed groceries. So ya never know.

A lot of public buildings - especially libraries were built by the tycoons of the 1800s, then donated to cities for the tax break. Hence the cool architecture because privately they cared how a monument to their goodness looked. Cities go for the industrial look.

They have literally said they want to repeal the 20th century. That gave us everything from good unions to the Civil Rights Act and legal abortion. Gay marriage was 21st century so maybe that's safe (kidding I know that is first on the chopping block)

like I said -- buys time. That's all trump has ever done - delay delay delay until its too late to actually act. He didn't turn over the records for a YEAR knowing the Feds would just keep asking for them instead of immediately acting.

what it actually does is buy time. Locks up opponent, then is charged over, then a court decides if it is an official act or not. In the meantime, opponent out of commission. or a rallying cry -- could backfire.

Its not just the US that is screwed. He might be Genocide Joe, but Trump is Salt the Earth to Destroy it for Generations. Ukraine will become a Russian province again. NATO gone, Russia will have free reign in Eastern Europe (and he won't stop there). All because Leonard Leo wanted fewer regs.

our current big mistake was not holding Trump and ALL of his supporters (looking at you Ginni Thomas) accountable with immediate arrest after J6. Instead we dicked around in the interest of "bipartisanship" and "deference" that led us to today. Sometimes NOT shooting first is worse.

yeah but the biggest mistake was the Union didn't shoot first. Buchanan did fuck all when SC seceded instead of saying "NO" and marching troops into Charleston while the state was still organizing.
