I trust Brits thinking 'it's a foregone conclusion so why bother to vote' are watching events in France and the US. It is *never* a foregone conclusion and you *always* have to vote against the bad people because they will sure as shit vote against you.

Yes - although the democratic system here has always been rigged to ensure Establishment will win in any colour, on a local level we can clutch at straws by voting for the apparently least right wing candidate. Some have yet to ditch their principles. 😳

i'm always gonna vote and even do what I can if things go beyond voting and related, but I don't pretend in the latter category I'm going to live very long at all kind of hard not to be fatalistic and depressed in that context considering voting is looking less and less like it's gonna save us
