My criticism of “fascism” label is it doesn’t provide enough detail - there are enough new specific things about this fascism that establishing MAGA as fascist doesn’t give us as specific predictions as wed want. But this is great point:“fascist=expect REALLY bad stuff” is a very good heuristic

Huh? We comparativists were the ones telling our Americanist colleagues in 2015 that they were wrong about our institutions being strong enough to stop Trump. And getting called hysterical for pointing out Trump's authoritarian tendencies.

Out of 300 and whatever million people in this country, he may be the absolute worst possible person as POTUS. He's a toxic combination of stupid, narcissistic, amoral, hateful, and financially compromised. We would be better off with a baby, even a stupid baby that needs the most attention.
