I feel for you. I have too much experience of this. None of our 3 made it back here to live and I was just grateful they got back as far as Australia (though one is in France for the year but will return to Australia). May yours stay safe and return eventually.

the airport goodbyes never get easier, BUT it gives you a great excuse to go to europe in 2 years. Nothing like seeing a foreign city though the eyes of your kids.
