I used to live in a town that had three major conventions a year. A Civil War reenactment, Harley week, and a HS English teacher convention. The bikers were loudest by far, but the teachers bought out the liquor store and trashed the hotels.

Ok, but the universal translator can’t do ASL? But what really bummed me about that episode in a recent rewatch was when dData learns all of the sign languages in the federation and there are like a dozen iirc. There are hundreds on Earth now.

I recall reading somewhere that is is the timeline of (2c). It also can't be in 2a because they have mentioned Star Trek the show, which doesn't exist in the world of Star Trek.
