I’m neither and I’m shaking so I can barely type so it’s not fun. I know I’ll be abused but stating the truth may eventually sink in for a few. I’d simply like fewer animals tortured. If that’s being a jerk we’ve lost all hope.

I’m older-at some point decided to endure defensive responses with the hope that even though I’d be attacked my plea might sink in a bit and get past the defenses of a few so eventually I might spark a bit of change

Reminder that unlawful presence in the US is a civil, not criminal offense. Unlawfully entering the US is a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine. Not a felony like murder. If someone committed a misdemeanor and a murder, maybe the latter is the more relevant offense.

The death toll in Gaza is now equal the death toll from Argentina’s Dirty War, which took 9 years in a country 35x larger than Gaza. We understand the Dirty War to be a traumatic experience for a generation that left a country scarred and had political ramifications for decades.

What an incredible split screen between the federal judiciary and the New York judiciary. In federal courts, Trump has easily evaded trial and will do so through November. Zero accountability. In New York courts, he owes a huge civil penalty and faces an imminent criminal trial.

Older-I think I had a better idea of what that might look like a couple of decades ago. Now I’m much more scared because it’s hard to envision. Some people are bigots but I think most want Palestinians to have freedom, safety, and a nation . And most don’t have a specific plan to get there.

Respectfully disagree that big changes have happened—55 million nonhuman animals killed each year in US alone. Whatever people are caring about, it’s not the suffering of nonhuman animals. (Tho I’m not sure it’s due to those who care not having learned any lesson.)

People think pigeons are messy and unhygienic . The truth is actually the opposite. They are clean and even clear their nests of eggshells when their babies are born. As far as the messes/ garbage on the street, that’s done by people. ALL animals matter & ALL animals are sentient beings.
