I believe there are folks with a constellation of symptoms that meet the diagnostic criteria for APD as currently described in the DSM. What I don’t believe is that there is a population of people among us without the capacity for empathy or remorse.

Why not though? Like, there's a whole lot of people (not all people who meet the criteria), who by any ability we have to understand sure appear to be exactly that Do you have an actual reason to think otherwise?
