That’s a values mismatch. Even history’s greatest monsters had people they empathized with or actions they felt remorse for, it’s just that they felt those feelings about the wrong things or for the wrong reasons.

We're not talking about "history's greatest monsters", who may have had any number of reasons for doing terrible things. We're talking about people with a specific diagnosis, from a trained clinician, and what they themselves have said about their own inner workings
