have an extra relay running at 'relay-ovh.demo.bsky.dev'. it is currently crawling/relaying the vast majority of the network, and should respond to crawl requests. $153/month bare metal instance

We're getting to spend more time on protocol again, which has me happy. Not just adding capabilities, but fixing annoyances and simplifying things. There's a few changes we can make that will make the stack more obvious, and get closer to that goal of "it's just http and json"

oh good point, just counted, limit is 18 lol and yeah agreed seeing what other people subscribe to would be very interesting! definitely regularly unsubscribing as well, large majority of labelers are testing labelers

We might be at a point soon where Mastodon has controls for who can quote you and Bluesky has controls for who can reply, and apparently neither of them recognize that this is the same feature

yeah agreed, i dont think the question of tethers being backed is the interesting question anymore at this point, it most likely is but one confusing thing is that it feels like they couldve faked it until theyve made it, but cases like this indicate to me theres still shenanigans going on

haha yes this was my original intention with the post, i dont think its great that we currently the labeler facilitates people to say 'dont show my posts from enbys' but also much agreed with the risk that labeler admins can set new labels with hide as the default, that needs to be fixed too

AP adopting PDS + DID ( activitypods.org ), atproto adopting relays, nostr adopting custom feeds ( nip-74 ), and products like @openvibe.bsky.social gaining traction. @shreyanjain.net was right, convergence is happening via natural selection and free markets. It's beautiful.

think this is also an indication of a shift in thinking what labelers are supposed to be doing. The 'hide' option makes sense if you run a labeler for content moderation, but more and more people are using labelers for different purposes
