my personal #kidlit writer definitions are PB: adult reads to kiddo. Early chapter book: kiddo reads themself. MG: kiddo & adult can read & share together. YA: kiddo wants to read by themself. #kidlitchat

favorite writing advice, part 1: if you can't decide which way to do something (like 1st or 3rd person) try writing it both ways for a few pages, and see if the answer becomes clear. (Better than stalling out wondering which would be better.) - Linda Sue Park lindasuepark.com #kidlit
