Quite the opposite - you'll want to have played the game a lot but not finished it. There are two bosses you need to beat to get access to the DLC - Radahn and Mogh. Mogh is a proper level/skill check - I had to do a bit of level grinding before I beat him.

Silmarillion of the Erdtree? Yes, it's really good and it's lovely being able to repeat that first playthrough of Elden Ring experience of discovering and filling in the map. However although I'm fine with the usual enemies, anything boss-tier is kicking my level 136 arse.

What surprised me was how quickly the pressing that put England under pressure and led to the first goal was given up for standing off and playing to England's strengths. And yes, some of the basics just disappeared. When a 3 on 2 attack in the Dutch favour just fizzled out, I knew England would win

Yes, but they did nothing much better than the Netherlands (IMHO). The keystone of my argument is that I don't like how England play but they are the very best at it, and teams somehow fall into trying to match them every time in knockout games. Spain will do the same.

I'm vocally critical of this England team but I won't deny it - it's obvious how we play, and teams still drag themselves down to our level. Slovakia and Switzerland can count themselves unlucky not to win - Netherlands were dire by comparison. England are custom-built to counter Spain's style.
