A silly bean that thinks girls are cute and games are fun. Creatively passionate, but devoid of focus. @ or DM me all your lore and worldbuilding, it's the drug I crave.

Yesterday I was confused so I read some Shakespeare and today my head doth spin madly like a wheel, shrouded in the thickest fumes of chaos.

You would think that it would be quiet outside due to it being 5 am. Fate apparently has decided for every possible loud sound to happen for the last 2 hours. Now got heavy construction machinery working just outside my window...

Dawntrail done. I cried so many times during the final zone, not just the moments with the main characters. The quest with the tour guide even had me sobbing. Final trial boss? Not even wet eyes, just immediate "time to die bitch!" mode. Great expansion 9/10

Work in progress of a map, for a worldbuilding project I've been toying with for the past while. Need to add a lot of stuff still like rivers and hills, but happy with the current shapes of the land I got going.

One thing I've ben trying to do is upgrade the 16x16 pixel arts I made into 32x32. Some of them have come out better then others. Like this one a little. you can learn a lot just by trying new things to see how they work.

I had a series of one word prompts for making stuff. Sword, Dagger, Staff, Ammo, ect. This was the last one of the 16x16 ones I was doing: Torch. I'm rally glad with how it came out, and my more creative inspiration at the time for it, rather then just a stick and flame at the end.

Pixel art is something I've been trying to learn sporadically. Aseprite is very easy to work with, and doesn't overwhelm me with menus and buttons like I've experienced with a lot of other art programs while trying to learn.

I'm not poo-poo on guns and cannons being in fantasy setting, this can apply to artificer classes in some games too. I actually quite like that Renaissance feeling of cannons and bows side by side, with fantastical da Vinci inventions abound. Lot of players just get to distracted with boomsticks.

DnD hot take: I don't like letting players I don't know have things like guns. I've seen it in games, I've seen it in live plays, but the moment a player's character has a gun, it functionally becomes their personality. Double so if it has "unique" mechanics like misfires or jamming.

NPC idea for your TTRPG: Leonardo da Pinchi A giant grab that was awoken by a druid when it was in young. Though the druid has since passed on, Leo has spent the last 200 years as the local arch-druid, keeping the balance in nature. He hires the party to help with more inland disruptions to nature.

Their daughter is the Goddess of Revelry and Wine, and is in a relationship with the God of Sports. Their parents don't get along because his Mom is the Goddess of Victory (generals), and the War God thinks she's haughty and arrogant. While she thinks he's savage and barbaric.

You know what you TTRPG fantasy deity pantheon needs? It needs the God of War, and the God of the Harvest to be in a gay relationship with each other. The Warrior goes out to fight the demons that threaten humanity, and returns home to his husband who prepared his favorite meal for him.

I hope if Warhammer the Old World is successful they'd be willing to experiment with non-mainline factions. Since we rewound time a little, a three way fight in the new world between skaven, lizardmen and Estalia would be super cool Even if we know how it ends in canon we can explore those conflicts

Since they were designed to be hyper resistant to the Chaos by the old ones. So them just going into the chaos wastes to raid and pillage; requiring chaos to focus on them, would work. They eatin' demons so you don't have to. While not being allied to anyone due to their warpstone corruption.

The two are to far away even if the Chaos Dwarves and Ogres weren't there between them. Also the silk route is noted as dangerous even beyond those two, as there are lots of monsters roaming about. Personally think they could have worked as an unaligned anti-chaos faction.

Because of the Badlands, they don't even have the excuse of being this wild card on the sidelines that might come down and fuck everyone up at a key moment like the Orks had a couple times. People just liked monstrous infantry so they exist as a faction, like Bretonnia is the "you like cav?" faction

Unpopular Warhammer Fantasy Opinion: The Ogre Kingdoms, though super cool design wise, are completely irrelevant in the "plot" or even narrative of the setting. They were just a faction on the edge of the playable world just cause it's a cool idea. They had no goal or ambition beyond existing.

Been really enjoying Reaper in FF14, but I swear, if for Dawntrail the only thing they give RPR is reorganizing the early skills so it's not just 1 2 3 till level 50, the class would be perfect. Everyone else can have new skills and traits, just PLEASE fix low level Reaper.

And that's just the material stuff. Conflicts of philosophies is also super exciting. The machine does a lot to disrupt society, like it did in our time. Early Modern philosophies like Enlightenment have more then just human rights and liberalism, like "Man's destiny to conquer and tame nature."

Fantasy worlds and TTRPGs set in eras of change, especially industrialization, are absolute peak for me. There are so many narratives you can run in the between the conflict between old and new. Ancient mages made irrelevant before artificers, Mass produced alchemy vs handmade magical crafts So good

Did "good" lich last time, how about "Evil Paladin" this time. Oathbreaker and Conquest are a bit obvious though. An Oath of Devotion Paladin, who seeks to spread the faith by the sword can be a strong antagonist. Their warband smites demons and undead, then puts towns to siege if they don't convert

This lich watches over the Grand Library, where the soul of every citizen is safely stored within a page of countless thousands of books. Their protector and warden ensuring they are kept safe from the unknown of the afterlife, while they research the truth of what happens after death.

Liches in DnD and other TTRPG are overwhelmingly used as villains, so here is an idea for a "good" Lich: An ancient civilization pondered what happened after death, and when the gods refused to tell, the Kings and Priests called upon one to be made a Lich to safeguard the souls of the citizenry.

You should probably talk with the GM and just ask them questions about the world. Even if you don't want/have anything concrete, you should have some attachment to the world like a family, or a cause directly connected to the world. Why would you have left your isolation otherwise?

It knows it wants to be a classic style JRPG, where both sides line up and take turns attacking as abstract representation for combat. Then just built off from there, and barrows lots of great mechanics from other games, while not trying to over complicate or overdevelop their systems.

Fabula feels very good to make characters in. A lot of diversity of skills to pull from, and starting at level 5 feels like the perfect amount to get the "basics" of what you want them to be right at the start. No waiting till level 3-4 to finally feel like your character concept.

Concept for a DnD campaign/setting: The world is destroyed every 2344 years, with an elder elemental as its herald, wiping out civilization putting the races of the world at near extinction each time. The year is 2332 of the Age of Wind, a band of fools in a tavern are destined to break the cycle.

Been doing some worldbuilding for a TTRPG campaign I want to run set in the fey, but I'm in a bit of a bubble with only Germanic and Celtic inspirations. Anyone have any recommendations for mythologies/folklores to research for a more diverse pallet? Be it for good or evil fey creatures.

The icon you have for Dex/Swift seems a bit out of place for what it is. Were it just representing speed I'd say it's great, but since it's also representing coordination for aiming a bow, might want to try something different.

Hags are great low level area bosses. A mountain side village terrorized by the beasts. Only for the players to discover after arriving the women who gave them the quest was the Hag, starting a deadly blizzard to trap them with the villagers, fighting to survive the storm and monsters.

Hags are criminally underused in DnD. I suspect this is because of the transition from a simulated world, to a narrative epic style of play. You don't really have "room" to put a hag in, if you know who the BBEG and the whole plot prior to session 0.
