Another thing you can do is call Dick Durbin's office and demand he stand up for democracy and haul Alito and Thomas before the Senate Judiciary Committee. And publicly demand their resignations. If you can't literally impeach them, AT LEAST use the bully pulpit. 202-224-2152.

That was a straightforward clear answer. I think, though, that more is going on than travel or its lack. I don’t know what the “more” is. Maybe they feel disconnected in other ways, maybe the LW is afraid of husband’s response. Dunno, and I do hope everything works out well.

ok hear me out, a constitutional amendment stating that if you're convicted of a felony, it voids the appointments of anyone you may have put on the supreme court. you know, for all the convicted felons, very broad.

The title led me to believe LW would have to do more. As you say, though, as far as Anne is concerned, LW need do nothing more. Yeah LW’s husband and neighbors will back off once LW passes back the hot potato to them. Thanks for this clear problem and solution

It is cool that whether it's landlords, doctors, or cops, there are whole private forums full of them that are occasionally breached and every single fucking post is like "guys this grandma is bothering me how do I legally kill her"

I honed in on being selfish in my late teens. My best friend and I spoke about how we chose to be like our mothers. We agreed hers was a classically good person and mine was rather more (openly) selfish. I have never regretted choosing me.

Sometimes I wonder why so many of us say we want to stay friends with our exes. (I very rarely do.) Particularly for short relationships where we haven’t enmeshed ourselves in each other’s lives. That said, your answer was so kind and complete.

Ok, now that I got some of the raging out of my system. I do hope the LW investigates the dynamics. My story here: Ma told me she was tired of my brother & me tag team ragging on her. So we stopped. We slipped occasionally (when teasing each other) but we loved her so we didn’t want to be mean.
