Nice.. I’ve had good luck with those for odd projects. I think they clean by being a very fine abrasive rather than chemically so keep they in mind as you go.

I’ve been randomly saying “Christmas Land” like decrepit Charlie Manx for a month now because I’m too hot. My wife is gonna throw me in a hole if I don’t stop soon but it’ll have been worth it.

Me too. There’s a feed for whatever mood I’m in & moderation keywords take care of the rest. If I’m still unhappy after all that it’s time to go outside. 😂

My big CSP art sin: not picking up the pen often enough so when I go to undo it undoes a million things. I gave up on Clip's colorize function. It makes a mess? I only kinda understand Clip's perspective rulers. I've been drawing ovals yet Clip has an ellipse tool. OMG Lost use your tools.

Yeah you would have to get a board from a donor laptop. Sometimes you can find them on ebay. Basically when you start doing that kind of thing you're either really trying to pinch pennies or you're having fun. (If it's out of warranty I'd just replace it).

If it's the soldered-in one you could buy a working board off e-bay and replace the entire thing. You could try to desolder and replace too but at that point I stop caring lol. It depends on how hacky you want to be. Personally I'd just get another mini but I have those sitting around anyway.

If it's soldered to the board there's not really much you can do with it unless you want to get dangerous. If the other one is a socket you should be able to upgrade that pretty easily.

The last time I went they had a jigsaw puzzle out and I wanted to just sit there and sort the pieces (so I did). I could sit there and stare out the window for hours. I have to cut my time just to get out.

Someone asked me about lines & dots & I remembered Feng.

I was into concept art at one point & studied some of Feng's DVDs. I could probably get a lot more out of them now. I should rewatch them.

I don't know what his YT channel is about but maybe it's good too.

Good luck. I found it really useful. Mine was interrupted by the pandemic but I was near the end anyway so it was okay. It wasn't like what I expected. It was much better.

To make straight lines sketching you can draw two dots first, then shoot a line between them. It gives your eye something to aim at.
