I like how the Larry Hama G.I.Joe comic book stories often have the Joes working side by side with enemies. The Dreadnoks. Oktober Guard. Destro. You can be diplomatic with those groups. Come to an honorable adversary agreement.

I don't connect them together. If I write a fist fight scene in grocery store, then later have the good guys hiding in a library, well, I do one thing like 'They can't find us in here' and just leave it to the writers to imagine the run from the store to the library.

if you loved someone's writing and you now find out that their sexual ethics are awful to you... I just want to say that it says nothing about you that you loved their work and nothing about you that you learned from the work. if the work 'changed your life', consider that you did that yourself.
