My friend is married to a Jewish guy who blocked me for commenting on someone else’s post that I think Biden is a genocide supporter. I had these friends over for dinner last month! I understand they want the hostages freed. I do too. I’ve got to read Klein’s book. Thank you.

It’s so sad. They went on a whole tirade about how “Arabs are just sore losers” over Palestine. I ask how any of what they said justifies the oppression and slaughter of people and get called an anti-Semite. I’ve unfollowed them as they clearly don’t invite conversation on their posts.

You’re a neighbour, not a rando. Community is invaluable for new parents. I moved away from my family and then had kids. I would have been exceptionally lonely if it wasn’t for the kindness of “randos” who became lifelong friends.

I’m feeling like a damn homesteader over here. I made a batch yogurt, ricotta cheese and a large tray of granola so far today. Currently roasting artichokes to try out a new pasta recipe. Guess if I were a real homesteader I would have milked the cow first.

We stopped drinking cow’s milk years ago and I tried making non-dairy yogurt without success. I missed having yogurt so I bought milk to make it again. So yummy.

My home for the next week. Going camping on Vancouver Island but taking so much for a theme camp and for my volunteer position so I rented a U-Haul van. Going to set my cot up in this instead of taking my tent. Burning Man events are so EXTRA! 🏕️

I’m am a small appliance maven and this new addition to our kitchen lives up to its “Wonder Oven” name. It’s replaced our toaster, air fryer and microwave (it reheats food with steam infusion). It’s also super cute. Perfect for a single person or a couple who don’t want to heat up a big oven.
